How to sell a machine gun

machine gunMachine guns are the most difficult firearm to sell. It can be hard to determine value based on model, maker, conversions, and many other factors in an ever-changing market. It’s also near impossible for an inexperienced seller with a low online rating to get serious full priced offers from experienced buyers.

To make matters worse you will waste a lot of time responding to picture collectors and low ball offers which means your gun may sit on the market for weeks, months or even longer.

The longer it takes you to sell it, the longer you wait to get paid!

If you’re lucky enough to sell it, you then need to properly fill out the ATF form 4. Any little mistake can set you back a month or cause you to have to start over from scratch(6+ months). Once you get over that hurdle now you need to know how to ship it correctly, and legally.

The best customer service in the business

  • Communication – I return calls/texts quickly and communicate the process to you as it moves forward (some other dealers take 3-5 days to even return a call and seem annoyed you’re bothering them).
  • Fair offers – I will give you 80% of your machine guns value, minus $200 for the stamp and $200 for the box and shipping (the other dealers start out with low ball offers of 50% and play games to make excessive profits).
  • Service- I work hard for my customers and give the best service available. Your time is money!

How it’s done

  • Pictures – Send me pics and info on your machine gun. To get the most money you need to take detailed, high quality pictures. Preferably outdoors. If I cannot tell the guns condition my offer may be lower.
  • The offer – I’ll research what you have and where the market is and offer you 80% of market minus stamp and shipping.
  • Acceptance–  If you accept I’ll mail you a completed form 4 to sign and a contract.
  • First payment – Once I receive your form 4 and contract, I will immediately mail you a check for 50% of the contract.
  • Wait for the stamp – Typically the transfer will take 2-6 months. We’re waiting for the ATF to approve the transfer.
  • Stamp arrives – The stamp on your form 4 will arrive at your house. You send me a picture of it and I will mail out the shipping box and your final payment (the other 50%)
  • Ship – you will package the gun and drop it off at the shipper in the prepaid box I supply.
